Speaking about being shortlisted, Elliot had the following to say:
“Obviously it’s a huge accolade to be on a shortlist of three for such a well-known local awards ceremony, and to be honest I’m just incredibly flattered to even have been thought of – although you’d always like to win it! There are some great local companies being recognised at these awards, and for me to be there alongside them is overwhelming. I’d like to wish everyone the best of luck, and I’m sure it will be a brilliant night for the award announcements in October!”
This is the third year in which the Stockport Business Awards will take place, and the event has grown year on year – hundreds of guests attended a glittering awards ceremony in 2013 and the event is billed to be bigger and better than ever in 2014. Elliot was a judge for the 2014 UK Blog Awards and has also featured as a panellist on the Guardian Small Business Network’s PR and Marketing masterclass, as well as acting as a mentor to students from the University of Manchester looking to develop their business skills. In February 2014, he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise funds for CLIC Sargent, the charity for children and young people with cancer.
